Residential Wallpaper Installation in Miami

Accent walls, grasscloth, murals and full-house re-papers — hung by the same person who quotes the job. Free on-site estimates across Miami and the surrounding communities.

What a Home Install Actually Involves

Most people judge a wallpaper job by the pattern. Installers judge it by the wall. Before any paper comes out of its wrapper we look at what it is going onto: level five drywall in a Brickell tower behaves nothing like plaster over masonry in a Coral Way bungalow, and a bathroom wall that has been repainted four times will need a different primer than a freshly finished nursery. That assessment is the reason two quotes for the same room can differ by a thousand dollars, and it is why we prefer to see the space rather than price it from a text message.

From there the sequence is unglamorous and non-negotiable. Furniture is moved and covered, floors are protected, existing paper is stripped if there is any, residual adhesive is washed off, damage is patched and sanded, and the wall is primed with a pigmented wallcovering primer. Only then do we snap a plumb line, dry-lay the panel sequence, and start hanging from the focal point outward so that the pattern reads correctly from where you actually stand in the room.

We work as a small owner-led operation, which means Kevin is on site rather than dispatching a crew he has never met. For a homeowner that mostly translates into two practical things: you get one person to ask questions of, and if something is not right at the final walkthrough it gets fixed before we leave rather than scheduled for a return visit.

Services

Residential Wallcovering Services

Four core services that cover almost every home request we take, from a single feature wall to a whole-house re-paper.

Accent Walls

One wall, done exactly right. We centre the repeat on the wall rather than starting blind in a corner, so the pattern looks deliberate from the doorway instead of arbitrarily cut. Typically a half-day job for 60 to 120 square feet, and the single cheapest way to change how a room feels.

Luxury Fabric & Grasscloth

Grasscloth, sisal, silk and linen-backed goods are unforgiving. They need paste-the-wall handling, clean dry hands, and panels sequenced and colour-matched across the run so the seams do not stripe when afternoon light rakes across the wall. This is where experience is worth paying for.

Nursery & Bedroom Murals

Digitally printed murals arrive as numbered panels with zero margin for error — one panel out of sequence and the scene breaks. We dry-lay the full sequence on the floor, mark the plumb line, and hang outward from the focal point so the centre of the image lands where you want it.

Wallpaper Removal

Steam, strip, scrape the residual paste, wash, patch, sand, re-prime. It is the boring part of the job and it decides whether the next paper lies flat. Floors and fixtures are protected throughout and the debris leaves with us the same day, not next week.

Every residential job includes precision seam alignment, a protected and cleaned workspace, and low-VOC adhesives and eco-friendly materials as standard.

Room by room

Where Wallpaper Works Best in a Miami Home

Dining rooms

The room most likely to carry a big pattern well, because you sit still in it. Chinoiserie, damask and large-scale botanicals all suit dining walls, and there is usually enough uninterrupted surface to let a repeat breathe.

Powder rooms

Small, low-traffic and disproportionately memorable. Because the square footage is tiny you can afford an expensive paper here. Expect a full day rather than a half, since the cuts around the vanity, mirror and fixtures take longer than the flat runs.

Primary bedrooms

Usually one headboard wall in grasscloth, linen or a soft textured paper. It adds warmth and a little acoustic softness without closing the room in, and it works particularly well against the hard surfaces common in Florida interiors.

Nurseries & kids' rooms

Murals and playful repeats, ideally in a wipeable non-woven so that the wall survives the first three years. We can also hang it so a single damaged panel can be replaced later rather than the whole wall.

Home offices

Grasscloth behind shelving or a camera-facing wall reads far better on video calls than flat paint. It also absorbs a little sound, which matters in condos with hard floors and glass.

Entry halls & stairwells

High-impact and technically the hardest space in the house. Stairwell work needs proper staging and long uninterrupted drops, so it is worth checking that whoever quotes it has done it before.

What It Costs and How Long It Takes

Residential labor in the Miami market generally runs between four and nine dollars per square foot, and the spread within that range is driven by three things: pattern match, ceiling height, and the condition of the wall underneath. A straight-match non-woven on a clean nine-foot wall sits at the bottom. A hand-printed grasscloth on a fourteen-foot stairwell over patched plaster sits at the top, and it should. Removal is quoted separately at roughly two to four dollars per square foot, because we cannot know how stubborn the old adhesive is until we start steaming.

On timing, plan for a half day for a single accent wall, a full day for a powder room, one to two days for a bedroom or dining room, and four to eight days for a full high-rise condo interior. Removal adds about a day for every two rooms. We would rather quote a realistic window and finish inside it than promise a day and rush the seams, and if a wall turns out to be worse than it looked we will tell you before we start rather than after.

If you already have paper picked out, send us the manufacturer and pattern name along with your rough measurements and we can sanity-check the roll count before you buy. Ordering one roll short of a discontinued dye lot is the most common and most expensive mistake homeowners make, and it takes us two minutes to prevent.
